Sometimes this is called English as a Second Language (ESL), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), or English as an Additional Language (EAL). It really is acronym soup.
Whatever you call it, people who use English in addition to their mother tongue use it very differently to native speakers.
I have extensive experience working with ESL audiences. I’m a qualified ESL teacher and have worked with non-native speakers (including children) in China, Europe and the Middle East.
I can proofread and edit your written materials to make them as accessible as possible for ESL speakers, and I can give you some tips to use in your future projects.
